Omer Day 35 מלכות שבהוד Malchut SheBeHod

Reality. Shekhina. Actualization. Sovereignty. Revealed Word. Selfitude within Presence. Wow! Gratitude. Awe. Receptivity.

Shabbat, May 24

During my after-dinner dog walk, I had a lovely phone call with a new friend. He is someone I’ve met before, but haven’t seen for quite a while. He has recently connected with a community of people I’ve been involved with for a long time, giving us this chance to reconnect. We spoke for nearly 30 minutes, discovering new things about connections we learned we have when we re-met recently, and discovering new things about each other.  Each for our own reasons, this phone call was a real highlight in our respective days.

As I returned home from my walk, it realized that this call was the jumping-off point for tonight’s reflection. This particular group of friends, who are our mutual connection, have taught me so much about Receptivity and about Gratitude. A moment like this - making Space for a new friendship - is a clear expression of Reality within Receptivity. The Actualization of this new friendship also flows directly out of the Gratitude born of this group of friends who were, and have remained so Receptive to me.  In connecting with a fellow Earth traveler in Gratitude, the Presence of Shekhina - the Indwelling Divine Presence - becomes especially palpable.  Wow!

May you be blessed with an experience of the Reality of your Gratitude. May your Receptivity and Presence lead to the Actualization of new gifts in your life. May your Gratitude open you to the Presence of Shekhina.

Shabbat shalom.
