Omer Day 40 הוד שביסוד Hod SheB’Yesod

Receptivity. Space. Awe. Humility. Gratitude within Foundation. Grounding. Connection. Generative Energy.

Today I experience this as the Still, Small Voice. What does that mean? When I am in the Humility of not knowing what to do (like when the dog is in a head-splitting barking jag in the car), I need to get Grounded. I need to be Receptive to the wisdom that comes from my Connection with my Foundation.

In those moments, I need to take the Space I need to tap into the Generative Energy that is waiting for me, inviting me in if I can only slow down enough to see the doorway.

There has been so much extra emotional activity in my household recently. We’re all in such a time of NEW and TRANSITION. Much of this activity has been unspoken, much of it surprising, explosive, unexpected (humans and animals, alike).  It has really required me to dig deep, to maximize my Receptivity within these Connections. As I tuned into this day, I reflected with Gratitude that I have been navigating it as well as I have (at least, I think!).

I don’t want to give the impression that we’ve suddenly become a house of chaos. Much of the time it is, in fact, quite peaceful as we continue to settle in, and for that I am also Grateful. Even in the times of peace, though, I am aware of the feelings wafting through the air in a way I may usually just tune out when we’re not going through SOMETHING BIG.

What are the things you do to be Receptive to what Grounds you? How do you hear the Still Small Voice whispering to you?
